Reliable Visual Tracking Without IR
The Color Tracking Cap is a lightweight accessory designed for use with the PU Gen II when infrared (IR) tracking is not required or available. It provides a simple and effective solution for maintaining probe visibility and positional awareness during acoustic measurements.
The cap slides securely over the probe head, forming a stable, helmet-like enclosure. Its high-contrast design makes the probe easily detectable by camera-based tracking systems. This enables accurate, real-time localization within the VELO software environment

Due to its interaction with the probe, the cap introduces a sensitivity gain increase of approximately +2 dB in the velocity response. To maintain accurate results, this offset should be compensated within the VELO software settings.
