Non-stationary sound source localization

We're excited to introduce non-stationary sound field localization, featuring the innovative Near-Field Acoustic Camera for 2D visualization and Acoustic Shape for 3D visualization. These additions significantly advance Velo's capabilities, enhancing both the versatility and depth of acoustic analysis. In addition, new features have been added to Scan&Paint 2D & 3D.

What's New?

Near-field acoustic camera (New module!)

  • Added support to handle multiple calculation processes.
  • Compatible with legacy data (from Velo 32-bit).
  • Enhanced near-field acoustic holography sound maps.
  • New troubleshooting and analysis tools.

Acoustic shape (New module!)

  • New resampling method for Order analysis (10x faster).
  • Added sound power panel-based module, allowing multiple arbitrarily
    oriented planes, panel grouping, and ranking.
  • New Order/RPM range spectrogram selection tools.
  • New Video Export Module, including easy presets to export frequency sweeps or 3D rotations.
  • Optimize session buffered data to improve user experience with large datasets.
  • Added tools to combine time sections from different captures without a reference signal.
  • Added support for 3D accelerometers.
  • Added batch processing for tacho channel smoothing.
  • Multiple minor improvements in the user interface.

Scan&Paint 2D

  • Improved color tracking algorithms, supporting 2 different methods.
  • Added support for static probe tracking.

Scan&Paint 3D

  • Major improvement in plotting vectors, 20x faster result updates independently of the complexity of the 3D object.
  • Improved controls of the video export module, adding smooth transition options.

General VELO updates common to all modules:

  • Several bug fixes and improvements were implemented in both the front-end and back-end.
  • Legacy hardware support for Heim DataRec4 DAQ systems.
  • Optimized DAQ back-end remote devices search.
  • Updated support for Mecalc Q-Server 2.1.x.x version.
  • Added optional enhanced user support.
