Firmware Voyager 2.10

A new firmware package is available in April 2026. In this version, Voyager introduces Direction of Arrival (DOA) plotting, exporting functionality for the Sound Quality parameters, Loudness, Sharpness, and Roughness, as well as other functionalities and improvements. Run the downloaded file and follow the instructions to update your Voyager. If you have any problems, please do not hesitate to contact your local distributor or us, and we will guide you through the updating process.

What’s NEW

  • Direction of Arrival (DOA) is now available for the USP probe type, displaying the incoming direction of the sound wave based on active intensity calculations.
  • Exporting of Loudness, Sharpness, and Roughness data is now supported for all probe channels (P, Ux, Uy and Uz). The available export file formats are .csv and .txt.
  • The File Manager tab has been fully restructured to enable management and playback of all H5 files, including Audio, In-situ Absorption, Scan & Paint 2D, and all images taken during the process.
  • Support added for the TP-Link US500 Bluetooth dongle.
  • Support for windscreen and color tracking caps has been added, ensuring compatibility for both live plotting and recording with the Velo platform.

Direction of Arrival (DOA) Visualization

The new Direction of Arrival (DoA) functionality enables precise 3D localization of sound sources using a USP probe, now supported via the dedicated L-shaped probe adapter for optimized probe orientation. This configuration ensures accurate spatial alignment, allowing the system to determine the incident DoA based on the instantaneous active acoustic intensity vector. Integrated real-time filtering capabilities allow users to focus the analysis on a specific frequency range, making it possible to target and track tonal components within complex acoustic environments, even for very low frequencies. This results in a fast and reliable identification tool of dominant noise sources.
