Dr. Fanyu Meng joins Microflown Technologies

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Fanyu Meng will be strengthening our team and are delighted to add his unique skillset. He joins Microflown Technologies as Scientist, taking an active role in fundamental research exploring the unique applications of the Microflown sensor. His role will be very versatile, where next to research he’ll be contributing significantly in the development of new products, support commercial activities, travelling globally for customer visits, congresses and exhibitions.

Background

Fanyu Meng is born and raised in China, where he received his bachelor and master degrees in mechanical engineering at the Harbin Institute of Technology. After obtaining his master’s degree he moved to Germany where he obtained his PhD degree in acoustics from the Institute of Technical Acoustics, RWTH Aachen University. The topic of his PhD research was about modeling moving sound sources based on microphone array measurements. Afterwards, he took the opportunity to work as a researcher in the European Commission's H2020 Marie-Curie ITN project called Acoutect, at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven.
