Professor Brandão's journey began in University of Santa Catarina, Brazil, where he embarked on his PhD journey in 2008. He recounts how Microflown was much smaller at the time, and many of his then-colleagues are still contributing to the company's growth.
His focus was to understand the technology, especially the PU probe, and to learn to perform measurement of surface impedance in situ. "We had some interesting measurements of perforated panels and we would take very close space measurements and see the color maps of the absorption," he explains.
