Measurements, calibration
  • Normal room calibration vs. anechoic calibration

A USP is calibrated with a large sphere calibrator in a normal room and in an anechoic room.
This data is used for the paper 'A full bandwidth sphere calibrator for a sound pressure and particle velocity sensor'.

Measurement data was converted to the frequency domain with Atspec exported to text and processed with ORIGIN (version 2.99, FFT filter smoothing )

Measurement 30cm:
anechoic room: data_anech_30.wav, normal room: data_normal_30.wav reverberant room: data_reverb_30.wav

Measurement 100cm:
anechoic room: data_anech_100.wav, normal room: data_normal_100.wav reverberant room: data_reverb_100.wav

  • Matlabscript surface velocity vs acoustic particle velocity of the LF sphere

Matlabscripts to calculate the frequency dependent ratio of the surface velocity of the loudspeaker vs the acoustic particle velocity in front of the sphere.
See also chapter 4 of the Ebook. Run: distance_correction_HE.m

  • Matlabscript for the HF sphere

Matlabscripts to calculate the frequency dependent impedance in front of the sphere. See also chapter 4 of the Ebook. These scripts are used to for the high frequency calculation. Run: HE_formulas_Finn.m
