Scan & Paint software

The Scan & Paint software offer a fast and easy solution for near field sound source localization and matrial testing. The audio and video data is recorded and synchronized, the auto-tracking of the position of the probe allow to extract very precise data from each frame of the video. After the scan is done you can quick post-process the data using the step by step tabs. The software uses four main tabs. High resolution mappings of sound pressure, particle velocity and sound intensity, can be displayed.

Tabs

  1. Capture: the first tab allow to record the audio and video data using a symple webcam and a 2-channels Microflown DAQ combine wiht a PU probe or the In-situ absorption setup. The picture is used as background image to plot the colormap.
  2. Process video: in this tab you can select the color of the probe to enable the auto-tracking function.
    Each frame contains the pressure and velocity data which are extracted from the time history of the channels recorded. You can also listen in playback function the pressure and velocity signal.
  3. Analyse data: you can see all the points used for the extraction of the colormap. Now you can just start the processing to see the colormap.  Select a frequency range of interest and plot the intensity, the reactive intensity, pressure and velocity. It is possible to calculate the average spectra of an area or point selected directly from the colormap. By defining a surface dimension also sound power for an area can be calculated. Also the velocity audio can listened back to frequency filtered. It is possible to export the data in MS Excel or text file.
  4. Report: using this function you can quickly report your measurement to compare different solution and troubleshooting.
