MEMS Testing
MEMS Testing
MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) is nowadays becoming a more common used technology in lots of product, mainly in the automotive, aerospace, defence, electronics and telecommunication market. The need of testing the quality, mainly related to resonance frequency of a MEMS, is also playing a more important role. Microflown Technologies is offering a non contact testing method based on a MEMS sensor. The Scanning probe of Microflown is measuring acoustic particle velocity in which equals the structural velocity when measuring in the near field very close to the surface. Using this non contact vibration method is giving the opportunity to characterizing the structural dynamics of a MEMS technology based component. Next to the simplicity in usage the method also allows the user to listen directly to the MEMS component.
