The portable Microflown monitoring system is based on Microflown's MEMS  3D particle velocity sensor and a GPS locator. These two devices, combined with a powerful processor enables the user to measure in any place, taking record of the exact location and reference coordinates of noise sources in a wide frequency range, from 0 to 20.000 Hz.

The Microflown mapping system analyses the recorded data in each point, creates an spectrogram of the signal and combines it with the “Direction of Arrival”, DOA, for each frequency range, displaying on the map, the location of each noise source, its frequency range, low frequency components, noise level with the needed corrections for low frequency, high level or any other noise description indexes to be analyzed. Also the controlled frequency range, time stamp of recordings and data display are configurable.

The system surveillance and recording mode is completely configurable, being able to adapt the interest frequency range, recording timestamp and data to be displayed in the web service linked to the device. Making use of a WIFI or GSM connection the noise information can be posted, recorded data can be downloaded for further analysis and the system performance can be controlled.

The device is completely stand-alone and portable so it can be easily repositioned. The system will maintain its correct performance for a long period, being unattended and under severe weather conditions due to its weatherproof caging and sensor protection. The setup is battery and plug powered so it can be adapted to the better performance in each location and occasion, also being able to prevent data loss in power cut situations.

Users interface is completely flexible, being able to export and plot the recorded data in ESRII standards, AUTOCAD, Google interfaces and other digital geographical interfaces. This can lead to create noise maps and sound escapes in a straightforward way.
